Funding

Your medicare and private health refunds can be processed at the time of appointment.

NDIS PROVIDER

kidmOTion is an approved NDIS provider and is well prepared to support families throughout the coming roll out of this scheme in our area. Talk to us about your child’s NDIS registration and the type of supports you may need.

MEDICARE SCHEMES

kidmOTion is a registered Medicare provider. As such, there are a number of Medicare Schemes under which your child may be eligible for partial reimbursement for occupational therapy services.

These schemes require referral by your GP or Paediatrician.

The referral date provided by the physician marks the first date under which you would be eligible for reimbursement for services received. PLEASE BRING YOUR REFERRAL PAPERWORK TO YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH KIDMOTION.

Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Items - previously known as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Program

The GP determines the client's eligibility for the program.
Clients who have a chronic condition and complex care needs that are being managed by their GP under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan may be eligible.
A chronic condition is one that has been (or is likely to be) present for six months or longer.
Clients have complex care needs if they need ongoing care from a multidisciplinary team consisting of their GP and at least two other health care providers.

Helping Children with Autism

Children with autism 7 years and under may receive partial reimbursement for 4 assessment sessions and up to 20 occupational therapy treatment sessions. To understand if your child is eligible for this plan, please talk with your Paediatrician.

Better Start for Children with a Disability

Children with an eligible disability (sight impairment, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Fragile X syndrome) 13 years and under may receive partial reimbursement for 4 Assessment sessions and up to 20 occupational therapy treatment sessions. To understand if your child is eligible for this plan, please talk with your GP or Paediatrician.

Follow-up Allied Health Services for people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.

These items are available only to people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent who have had a health assessment during which the GP has identified a need for follow-up allied health services. Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of five (5) services per patient each calendar Year.

FaHCSIA Helping Children with Autism:

In addition to Medicare rebates, federal government FaHCSIA funding is available to children under the age of 7 years who are being investigated for or have a diagnosis of an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). For more information please call the Autism Advisor Program 1300 978 61. FaHCSIA Funding can be used to pay for services at kidmOTion.

PRIVATE FUNDS

KidmOTion is a registered provider with most health funds. If you are insured for ancillary services you may be entitled to up to half of your session fees in refund. Check with your health fund what your child is covered for prior to your first session with KidmOTion.
